In First Unitarian Church's continuing exploration of what makes a resilient community, First Share is sponsoring a study group on Rebecca Solnit’s new book: A Paradise Built in Hell, “a riveting examination of what happens to ordinary people in the aftermath of extraordinary disasters.” Looking at ways communities respond to acute crises, we will reflect on how to deepen community in our congregation in these troubling times.

The fourth session is open to class and non-class participants to discuss the broader concept of building community resilience.

Facilitators: Linda Schmoldt, a member of First Church and First Share, and Jared Gardner, a member of EJAG, Real Wealth of Portland, and First Share.
